With the new Mazda CX-30 out in the market place many folks may wonder.....what's the difference between that and the Mazda CX-5 because they are similar in looks and one might think size too. The new Mazda CX-30 is an all new model, the Mazda CX-5 has been around for a few years now. The Mazda CX-5 is considered a compact SUV, but the Mazda CX-30 is in the subcompact class. The CX-5 has 2 different optional engines one of which is a diesel.
We believe these two SUVs will be two of the most popular for this year. The Mazda CX-30 comes into the line-up between the Mazda CX-5 and the Mazda CX-3, making the Mazda CX-30 one of the larger subcompact crossovers competing with crossover vehicles from Subaru, Hyundai and even Lexus.
Both of these SUVs were designed with the "Kodo" design in mind. The Mazda CX-30 is sloped lower to have a more coupe like profile. The Mazda CX-5 sits up more like a traditional SUV. Both vehicles have chrome accents around the grilles and have some plastic cladding, with the Mazda CX-30 having quite a bit more cladding. As with the other Mazda Crossovers and SUVs they both come available in all wheel drive or front wheel drive.
